Only the ACC champ will ever get a CFP invitation, and you need to get past Clemson or FSU to be the ACC champ. When is the last time Notre Dame has been better than those two?

And eight ACC games - 4-5 of which will suck (Cuse, Wake, etc.) - plus Navy, means 9 East Coast games every year. I suppose they could hit Cali, Texas, and Michigan, but there would be no more Stanford + USC - maybe insignificant in your mind but not to the Irish.

An ACC schedule will hurt Irish recruiting and damage its national prestige. Some here think that will not negatively affect their program and - magically - actually improve their odds at a championship.
